All participants in the O-zone events are cordially invited to attend the SROC Club Picnic at Great Tower on Saturday 12th July. There will be a choice of a mass start one hour score event, be there at 1.30 for the start at 2 pm, or an "Orangey" course with starts from 2 to 2.30. More details on the SROC fixtures page.
The SROC Summer Series starts on Wednesday 18th June. There will be a total of five events, four on Wednesday evenings and one on Sunday 6th July. Everyone is welcome, you can score points, and prizes will be awarded in several age/experience categories. For details view the SROC Fixtures page.
Hope you all enjoyed the good weather in the
Park today. Colour qualifying times for the Yellow and Orange courses are
shown on the
results. You need to have finished above the line to qualify. Once
you have qualified at three events for a colour standard, you can claim a
badge from the club (if you are a member of course!).

Please note that the proposed event at Salt Ayre on 17th May has been cancelled, and replaced by an event in Williamson Park on the following day. Starts will be from 11.00 to 12.30 and there will be courses suitable for novices and experienced orienteers.

O-zone 2 event at Lancaster University on Saturday 5th April, starts 12.00 - 2.00pm - details here. This event features a brand new map by Alex Finch, drawn especially for the event, incorporating all the recent building changes.
Lakeland OC is putting on a series of events over the next few months, aimed at families and beginners, as well as more established orienteers. Most of these events are on summer evenings. See this flyer for details.
Following on from the popularity of the recent O-zone score events, SROC now plans to provide a similar event at Lancaster University. Start times will be the same (12 noon - 2pm), and there will be a choice of "technical" or "O-zone" score courses, 60 minutes time limit for each. Further details will be released soon.
